These hard wax sticks have been specially developed for use on the wood lathe and consist of a special mix of animal, vegetable and mineral waxes including Carnauba (the hardest wax) for high gloss and durability, Ozokerite and Ceresine wax (with a high melting point). for extra hardness, shine and water resistance, Microcrystalline wax for durability and water resistance and finally a touch of beeswax for a pleasant touch.

Waxtik is applied directly to the workpiece while the lathe is running and then, as with Shellawax products, it is melted by generating frictional heat by slowly working the surface with a polishing cloth. A firm pressure gives a satin-like shine, while a light pressure gives a higher shine. If desired, several layers can be applied directly on top of each other.

For a fast, high shine, first apply a layer of Shellawax or oil to the workpiece, after which you immediately apply the Waxtik as described above.

Waxtik is food safe, but because it is a wax finish, white or dull spots may appear after contact with water. These spots can be repaired with the Traditional wax if necessary.

Shellawax products give the best results on woods with a dense, fine structure. Waxtik, on the other hand, appears to give the best results on open woods such as oak.

Waxtik kann natürlich auch über die verschiedenen Shellawax-Produkte aufgetragen werden und bei vollgewachsten Werkstücken auch direkt über EEE-Ultrashine. Außerdem kann Waxtik über den meisten Ölen wie Houtolie und Danish Oil verwendet werden, sofern das Öl gut getrocknet ist und kein frisches Öl mehr aus den Poren schwitzt.

Für einen schnellen, hohen Glanz zuerst eine Schicht Shellawax oder Öl auf das Werkstück auftragen, danach sofort das Waxtik wie oben beschrieben auftragen.

Waxtik ist lebensmittelecht, da es sich jedoch um eine Wachsveredelung handelt, können nach Kontakt mit Wasser weiße oder matte Flecken auftreten. Diese Stellen können bei Bedarf mit dem Traditional Wachs repariert werden.

Die besten Ergebnisse erzielen Shellawax-Produkte auf Hölzern mit dichter, feiner Struktur. Waxtik hingegen scheint das beste Ergebnis auf offenen Hölzern wie Eiche zu erzielen.[:]
